Better known as a Black & Yellow Garden Spider, the Argiope aurantia is common to North and Central America, and harmless to humans. We found this one in Leaming's Run Gardens a couple weeks ago.

Here's another shot from my recent trip to Vancouver - this one was taken high atop the city while dining at the cloud 9 revolving restaurant. It's a beautiful city...I only wish I had brought my DSLR along...maybe next time.

This blindfolded and cracked bronze sculpture of the Greek god Eros is located in Vancouver, BC. Sculpted by Igor Mitoraj, it's a striking piece of art within Vancouver's Yaletown Park. While some might find it creepy, I find it amazing.

After enjoying a beer in the backyard yesterday, this house fly was practically glued to my beer glass...I think he enjoyed it too. Shot with a Sony 100mm f/2.8 macro @ 1:1 with a HVL-F42AM flash, hand-held, manual focus.

This sweet bulldozer made a nice subject for HDR processing, as did the buildings directly behind it in the scene. I shot three exposures hand-held...stumbled upon this at the Calvin Coolidge Historic Site in Plymouth, Vermont.
